If you’re looking at this page, you’re probably wondering what you can do here. Actually, there are a number of ways you can interact with this news site.

  1. You can post comments to articles written. If you disagree, explain why. If you agree and think the author is an unparalled genius, please feel free to lavish praise on him. If you would like to add something to his Hemingway-like prose, just add a comment (by clicking on the Comment link at the bottom of each article). This can be done by any Subscriber. Once we review the comment, we approve it, and it goes up on the blog.
  2. Subscribe to the Blog- by using the big green button or teh Subscribe button in the left hand sidebar, you can subscribe to Blog.BETCObuildings.com.com (using a technology called RSS - Really Simple Syndication) and whenever someone posts a new post or comment, you can be notified. This notification can come to your RSS reader (Google,Yahoo, Bloglines all have free ones) or even your Outlook. These readers can “aggregate” all your news feeds from various sources to one place, bring the news to you instead of you going out to find it. Almost all the major magazines, blogs and newspapers have RSS “feeds”, plus many forums and other web sites. Outlook 2007 brings my RSS feeds right to my email folders.
  3. Fill Out a Poll - Occasionally, we will have polls up asking your opinion. With a click of mouse, you can chime in.
  4. Send Us Pictures - email them at webmaster@betcobuildings.com and we can post them. Pictures should be no more than 800 pixels x 600 pixels wide and less than 200k in file size to make it easy for people to view (and for me to format).
  5. Notify us of Technical Issues with the Site- We have a couple of people have trouble registering or loggin in. Please notify us if you have any issues with the site so we can correct them ASAP.

How to Navigate this Site…

Along the left side is the main navigation (Sidebar). There you will find a list of

  • Pages - permanent articles or pages such as a growing list of online resources, links to tactics, About This Site, etc.
  • Recent Posts - Posts are items that are added to the blog that are more time sensitive such as events, reviews, stories, etc. As new posts are added to teh site, the older posts are moved lower onthe page and even off the mioan page into Archives. The Recent Posts are the four or five latest posts to the site.
  • Categories - Posts are categorized by one or more common topics such as Reviews or Strategy or One Shots. This way you can look up all the posts in a certain category. Some posts may be listed in more than one category. One Shots are posts that are more news, story or opinion related that don’t easily fit into the other categories.
  • Links & Field Links - duh.
  • Archives - Posts are grouped by Month so you can easily catch up on this great stuff chronologically if you like.
  • Search - you can search for articles or posts by using keywords.
